The Basilicata Region presented the Lilama Network contents and objectives during a workshop held at the end of November 2009, the “Spazio Scuola Expo”, an initiative dedicated to all regional schools. During the workshop, the teachers were informed about the various activities of the Network and provided with some LILAMA material, included references and contacts.

The strategy of the Basilicata Region about LILAMA aims at involving the schools, the university and the training bodies in the network. The goals are: presenting the good practices validated; collecting experiences to be observed; supporting the practice of foreign language teaching; strengthening the relationship between training providers and social and economic parties regarding the acquisition of linguistic skills for the labour market.

During the workshop, the Basilicata Region showed some tools, financed by the OP ESF Basilicata 2007-2013, to enhance the mobility of the students and of the employers, through stages and brief periods of training also aiming at learning and improving a foreign language.
