After one year of work since LILAMA project was constituted as a Network, all the activities, news and results coming up in 2009 in the framework of the Language and Business field are summarized on a yearly activity report.

In 2009, Network's activities were mainly devoted to the development of the technical and methodological aspects of the project and the first activities were carried out in the framework of the LILAMA Observatory of Best Practices and on the dissemination of the Network.

Main milestones of the Network in 2009 were the following:

- Network constitution.
- Benchmarking Methodology agreement for the identification of Best Practices in the Languages & Business field.
- Identification of a first batch of 16 Best Practices.
- First Best Practice Exchange Session held in East of England region in the United Kingdom.
- Network website and brochure available.
- Network official launch in the United Kingdom at EU level.
- Participation of LILAMA Network at the 8th Business & Language conference (Düsseldorf, Germany).
