LILAMA Network will host the conference “Europe 2020: language policy and training impact on EU’s employability and competitiveness” on November 24th, in Brussels.

 

LILAMA Network was created in 2009 with the support of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union with the mission of becoming a mutual learning platform for the exchange and dissemination of guidelines, best practices and policy recommendations contributing to the design and implementation of language policies oriented to labour market needs. The event aims,…

  • To raise awareness on the priority of language learning policies oriented to the labour market for Employability and Competitiveness in the framework of the “Europe 2020” strategy.

  • To raise awareness on the European Union efforts on the language policies and employability and Competitiveness field, such as the Business Platform.To provide practical examples, case studies and good practices this can illustrate the impact of such language policies on Employability and Competitiveness.

  • To issue policy recommendations and guidelines for the design of language policies, resulting from the benchmarking and research process conducted by LILAMA Network.

  • To disseminate LILAMA Network results: Observatory of Best Practices, Best Practices Guide and EU Policy Model and Recommendations.

 LILAMA network final conference welcomes all those individuals, organisations and networks either interested or involved on the design and implementation of language policies and programmes on the Employability and Competitiveness field.
