The development of innovative Linguistic Policies is relatively new in the EU context, and represents slow and complex processes requiring a constant update in order to respond to the rapid ongoing changes to the regional economies’ profiles. Regions that are increasingly prioritising the need of Linguistic Policies closer to their economic and business needs face a lack of access to updated and relevant experience and policy recommendations that might guide their efforts.
The LILAMA Network is born to become a mutual learning platform for the development of linguistic policies oriented to the labour market needs, delivering a sound method for the identification, evaluation and validation of good practices.
Thus, and following the consent of the LILAMA Network’s members, a benchmarking methodology based on a unified analysis process has been agreed to assess the quality and transferability of the studied cases.
Good Practices identified will be published and disseminated by the Observatory of Best Practices of the Network.
