LILAMA is a network founded by the partnership of 7 organisations with the support of the European Commission and whose goal is to enhance the international competitiveness of EU economies through the development of an EU workforce proficient in foreign language skills and with a high degree of mobility.
The LILAMA Network aims at becoming a mutual learning platform for the exchange and dissemination of guidelines, best practice and policy recommendations which contribute to the design and implementation of linguistic policies oriented to labour market needs.
LILAMA's activities revolve around 3 main axes:
Observatory of best practice in linguistic policies oriented to labour market needs.
Research into the delivery of recommendations in the design of such policies.
Dissemination at the widest EU level of successful best practice, cases studies and policies identified.
LILAMA is born from a consortium of 7 partners from 5 EU member States (Spain, France, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom) but with the goal of involving the widest level of key regional, national and EU stakeholders at policy level, with the aim of broadening the number of positive experiences in the Network’s field of interest and ensure its sustainability.
